the restless anchor story
restless anchor is Joey Avrick, an east coast guy transplanted to the PNW. he’s been playing music as long as he can remember, starting with piano at just 6 years old. since then, he’s picked up guitar, saxophone, violin, and more.
Joey is a husband and a dad to an adorable one year old daughter.
restless anchor was born out of a love for music and years of practice, and dedication. fun fact- his entire debut album was recorded in a friend’s basement on home equiptment.
the name restless anchor comes from the realization of the truth that life shifts, that change will come and shake you, even down to the foundation, that your life’s anchor will feel restless... but that it only makes way for new growth and the freedom to expand & explore outside of where we had comfortably put down anchor.
