Hi friends! I am very very excited to share the news that I have been offered a 3 month retail storefront popup in Belltown, hosted by the Seattle Restored program!
Opening in late October and running through the end of January, you can come shop for Parallel Jewelry and handmade clothing at 2004 1st Ave at Virginia St. in downtown Seattle.
I will also be teaching sewing lessons and hosting fun events for the Belltown artwalk on second Fridays.
I’ll be a busy bee for the next few weeks, collecting shop fixtures and supplies, working on setup, and making naturally dyed clothing and jewelry for the retail floor but I’ll try to post progress updates as I go.
If you love buildout projects, have a truck and want to help me pick up furniture, or feel inspired to contribute to setup in some other way, please reach out!

Here’s some more natural dye experiments from my studio. This color palette is so photogenic with the natural landscape here in Western Washington.
I was at a little overlook park at sunset taking this and a school teacher stopped to ask me what I was up to. And I said, I’m happy you asked! I could talk about natural dyes all day. I’ve always been fascinated by plants, their beautiful shapes and colors and scents. This feels like an exciting new way to work with them.

Here are some new things I’ve been working on with plant based dyes.
The long skirt is one of my own designs, I have graded it in a size range of XS-4XL It’s high waisted with a wide waistband, and it looks great on everybody. Carefully hand sewn and dyed by me in my little Seattle sewing studio. 95% cotton with 5% spandex.
I purchased the 100% cotton hats and socks as white and I am dyeing them as an experiment to offer some smaller, lower priced plant-dyed items.
Shown here are indigo and myrobalan. There are so many more plant based dyes I want to try so stay tuned for more colors!

Hello! I’m in Redmond Town Center for a three day weekend of art! Come find me in the center area near the fountain. I’ve brought my gemstone jewelry line and I’ve also brought some handmade and naturally dyed clothing this year.
As you can see I’m super excited to show off my new bike shorts. I love that I can wear them under my sundresses while climbing on ladders and things. Dyed with cutch, cochineal, and iron and available in sizes XS-4XL.
