Life of a mermaid...

I’ve always loved the water. When I was young I’d go to the outdoor pool every weekend. I even taught myself how to swim because I always wanted to be in the deep end. When we would go on family camping trips, you could find me at the lake or river.

I never thought that when I grow up I would be a mermaid. And look, mermaiding is one of my passions. I’ve been working with the youth as an Enrichment Teacher for 15 years and now they can see me in a whole new wonder.

Transforming into a mermaid has been beautiful and wild like the ocean. Since the beginning of this journey I’ve been building my self-confidence and am now comfortable in my own skin after motherhood. I advocate for body positivity because confidence is beautiful and everyone can do anything. I’ve had wonderful opportunities to work with the community. It helped me grow as a person, creatively and is getting me more involved with ocean conservation. I enjoy getting creative with my mer-looks because it makes people happy and excited to see mermaids come to life.

It truly is an enchanting experience and I want to share the magic of mermaiding with the world.
