Backfire MotoBar

Hey Backfire peps — built a couple things I think you'll dig.
First up, www.themotolist.com — a PNW motorcycle marketplace. I got tired of the cookie cutter classifieds that were missing half the stuff I actually wanted, so I built my own. Bikes, parts, gear — quick, easy, and sleek. Built local with room to grow.
And my latest — www.passthehelmet.com. A community fundraising site built for moments like these. Whether it's chipping in to buy your favorite mechanic a beer, helping a rider cover some bills after getting hit, or anything in between — this is the spot. Campaigns max out at $5,000 and the minimum donation is $2. In these tight times, $2 is not nothing. It adds up, and it lets someone know their crew has their back. PNW roots, built to grow.

A while ago, I was learning to code and use various tools for building web and mobile apps — and ended up making a few. I decided it would be fun to try building my own Motorcycle Marketplace, so check it out! It's been a labor of love and is still a work in progress, but most of the foundation is there.

Some of the features include in-app messaging so registered users can connect with sellers directly, as well as additional contact options. I went a little overboard on the location side of things and will be revisiting that later. I was pretty Seattle-centric at first since I originally planned to keep it limited to Seattle and the surrounding areas — but it now covers the whole PNW.

As a last-minute addition, I wanted to include a stolen bike section. It'll eventually live at the top of the search results, but for now you can find it in the footer — which took me most of the night just to get working. I'm also building out a business account system with online payments, but in the meantime you can reach me through the footer to work something out.

You'll probably run into a few bugs and some interesting navigation quirks, but have fun and try posting something for sale! Be sure to check back often — I'll be adding new features and fun stuff to make this into much more than just a marketplace.
