Available for purchase at The Postman “Forever Dad” is a heartwarming and inspiring children’s book written by my beautiful daughter, Khloe Pickett, and credit to D’Vonne Pickett, and Xavier Pickett. This beautifully illustrated story takes young readers on a journey through the life of their dad, highlighting his experiences from childhood to fatherhood.
From being a cute and snuggly baby to a sports-loving teenager, Dad’s past comes to life on each page, capturing his vibrant personality and unforgettable memories. The story celebrates the special bond between Dad and Mom, affectionately referring to her as his Lover.
As the children grow older, Dad remains a constant source of support, from being present at their births to coaching their first steps in sports. Despite his strength, Dad’s playful and fun-loving nature shines through, bonding with his kids over music, rap, and epic dance parties.
Through this tender portrayal, the authors reveal that Dad embodies more than just a parent figure. He is a boss, an inspiration, and a pillar of strength. Dad’s ambition and determination to chase his dreams teach valuable life lessons about owning one’s power and resilience.
Though Dad is deeply missed after his passing, his spirit lives on. The family honors him as an ancestor, creating a special altar as a place of remembrance and tribute. Through his music, sweaters, and cologne, Dad’s presence continues to provide comfort and solace.
In the final pages, Khloe shares her personal thoughts and encourages young readers to find strength in their shared experiences of loss. She reminds them that they are strong and capable of rising up, facing the challenges of life together.
“Forever Dad” is a touching and empowering story that celebrates the lasting impact of a father’s love. With its uplifting message and captivating illustrations by Robert Lou-Trujillo, this book is sure to capture the hearts of children and parents alike, reminding them that the love and memories with Dad will last forever.
