Sometimes Even Heroes Need Heroes

They carry children from burning buildings.

They speed to the aid of heart attack victims, routinely saving lives.

They rush to the scene of traffic accidents, freeing and treating people trapped in their cars.

These are the brave firefighters of Seattle all of whom are EMT’s and first responders, and many are also certified paramedics. Highly trained and professional, they respond immediately when we need them, 24 hours a day in every city neighborhood.

But sometimes even heroes need heroes.

That’s why we created the non-profit Seattle Fire Foundation. As a private organization, we have the flexibility to raise and allocate resources more nimbly than the city budget process, enabling us to identify and quickly fulfill the Seattle Fire Department’s pressing needs.

· Your donation will purchase additional ballistic gear that that allows firefighters to enter dangerous situations with greater speed and confidence—to more quickly protect life and property.

· Your donation will better equip EMT’s and paramedics to save more lives in a medical emergency.

· Your donation will prevent and mitigate catastrophes through fire and disaster preparedness education
