For those in Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle, many residents are stepping up to try and help in hyperlocal way for magnolia families and residents who will lose their snap benefits because of the shutdown. Our politicians may not care but our community can. Today I discovered that red miso totally belongs in cookies and that maybe it is time I replace my slightly warped 25 year old baking sheets if I am going to get through the next 105 recipes :)

Friday night lineup: jalapeño margarita, Mariners highlights, and 108 Asian Cookies , a gorgeous new cookbook from a Seattle author sharing her culture and love of baking. Not-too-sweet treats, full of heart. So grateful for this city and its stories. 🌆💛

Update: returned to owner! Found DOG in Magnolia near our Lady of Fatima. He is chipped, but he is not registered. He looks like he was chipped in a facility in Oklahoma. He’s a very friendly dog but very, very, very energetic.
