Bring your Littles out to play at The Sandbox Co. in Tacoma to help keep our community partner’s doors open!
📢 People see The Sandbox Co. as a business, a facility, a play space, or a building. But to me, it has always been so much more than that.
•
Right now, The Sandbox Co. is facing a critical June 6th deadline and I’m asking the community to come together to help keep these doors open. This is not just a business to me this is my family’s livelihood, my peace, and years of blood, sweat, tears, and sacrifice poured into creating stability and generational growth for my children while building a space for families and the community to gather, connect, and grow together.
•
The Sandbox was built from sacrifice, creativity, survival, and faith during moments where quitting honestly would have been easier. It represents long nights, hard decisions, risk, pressure, motherhood, community, and the determination to create something meaningful not only for my own family, but for other families too.
•
What many people don’t realize is that The Sandbox was never just about childcare or entertainment. It was about creating a space where families could breathe, children could laugh, parents could connect, and the community could gather without pressure or judgment.
•
Over time, this space became bigger than open play. It became a place for workshops, support programs, youth activities, celebrations, parent groups, partnerships, community events, and organizations needing a warm family-centered environment to operate in. The Sandbox was always meant to be a community-use facility where people could come together, collaborate, and create meaningful experiences.
•
This journey has not been easy. There have been setbacks, uncertainty, financial pressure, emotional exhaustion, and moments where I questioned everything. But through all of it, one thing never changed: my belief that The Sandbox still has purpose. It represents resilience, rebuilding, opportunity, and community.
