These cuties are waiting for their forever homes. 03/18/2026

Seattle WA
These cuties are waiting for their forever homes. Please consider adopting, over shopping. They are good dogs that landed in the shelter due to no fault of their own. Working with these dogs teaches me so much. They truly live in the moment and are resilent precious creatures.
The best approach is to first apply online. Not all dogs are in the shelter, some are in foster care. Although you can go visit the shelter to see who is there. I recommend signing up on a waitlist before going to the shelter as it can be quite busy on the weekends.
They are open everyday except Mondays 1-5pm.

Sad news for 6 month , 3 1/2 pound Nia today. The doctor thinks she has Patent Ductus Arteriosus. This is a heart condition that definitely requires a cardiologist to but if the diagnosis is correct this means she can’t go under to fix her leg. The best we can do is splint it . As far as the heart, the condition can be fixed, and she will be set for life, if she can survive it. With no surgery she may only have a year to live.🥹So right now, send your prayers. As soon as we know more we will tell you.

💔 They Were Given Up Together. Now They Face Their Last Hours Together.

They came in together… and they’ve held onto each other ever since.

Tabitha and Skylar are just one-year-old Chihuahua sisters who have never known life apart. From the moment they arrived at the shelter, they curled up together in the corner of their kennel — tiny bodies pressed close, like they’re trying to remind each other that they’re not alone.

When the shelter gets loud and unfamiliar, they do the only thing that brings them comfort.

They hold on tighter.

Skylar rests her little head on Tabitha’s back, while Tabitha watches the room with quiet, worried eyes. They barely move unless the other one does. Every sound, every step in the hallway… they face it together.

But time inside a shelter moves quickly.

And for bonded dogs like these two, the clock can run out even faster.

They don’t understand why their person isn’t coming back.
They don’t understand why the kennel door keeps opening for other dogs… but not for them.

All they know is each other.

These sweet Chihuahua sisters deserve more than a cold kennel floor and a goodbye they’ll never understand. They deserve a warm home, a soft bed, and a family who will promise them that they’ll never be separated again.

If you’ve ever thought about saving a life — maybe this is the moment.

Maybe it’s theirs.
