What was your 'Ah-ha' moment when discovering your neurodivergence?

My big one was relating to a college professor, who proudly announced his own n=n^1 neuro-spice type to the class.

Then, after more research and watching several firsthand accounts, my brain kindly took an adventure down memory lane.

Ooftah! That was a wild ride and a complete recalibration of my interpretation of my old and new awareness of past social interactions.

I still have moments where a past memory floats into my brain and I'm like, "Whelp! That explains it!"

My personal experience provides a special relatability for late-discovered neurotypes.

Shout-out to all my like-minded humans.

Un-Masking.... Identity crisis....... Wowsers, what a rollercoaster.

Explanation of what has led me to working towards fat adaptation, Carnivore & Sardine fast (still working on it), & Physical Therapy with Progressive Running Routine:

One of my goals is to spread awareness and build communities to help each other. There is a vast population of people with low to high-grade chronic health struggles, and many who don't know where to start or even know there is a way to help and/or solve their issues. Help me scream into the void to help as many people as possible.

I've been struggling with a variety of symptoms for my whole life, and some kicked in during my hormonal teen years, progressively increasing, then after pregnancy, they seemed to explode. I was getting worse and worse with little help or understanding from many medical professionals.

I buckled in and hunkered down, dove into research, and started tackling each issue to find a way to live my best life possible no matter what.

I'm a small petite 5'5", measuring 34" x 21" 34, and usually sit around 120 lbs. My highest muscle mass workout days were 136lbs. And my system started hovering at 168 lbs, and I didn't take measurements because I was so frustrated. But I was more than round with fat rolls. I was VERY uncomfortable.

My body has been slowly expressing lymphedema-like symptoms, and I've struggled with weight, not as bad as some, but definitely in the beginning stages of becoming a huge problem. I was putting on so much water and bloat weight that my symptoms were intolerable, and my life was seriously hindered.

Long adventures in health lead me to these discoveries and their unique symptoms (many of which can be found online by searching the following discovery terms):

Elhers-Danlose
Fibromyalgia
Mast Cell Activation Syndrome
Dysautonomia (POTS) Orthostatic Intolerances
5 mm short leg bone
Scoliosis
19 mm drop in my right hip
Straight neck with a lower buckle
*Skeleton Miss alignment leading to nervous system issues*
Autism level 1, gifted
ADHD Combined
CPTSD
Cervical Cranial Instability (CCI)
Migraines
Pressure headaches
Multiple kinds of headaches
Insulin Resistance
IBS, gut issues
Gluten intolerant
Oxalate Intolerances (huge source of my pain)
Sugar intolerant (which triggers Dysautonomia BAD)
Binge eating struggles (nutrient malabsorption at a cellular level)
Kept getting sick, had large viral loads.
Chronic fatigue-like symptoms.
Signs of fat malabsorption.

Periodic episodes of low iron, low vitamin D (over the span of 25 years, so chronically). Almost had a mandatory hospital pregnancy due to low iron.

My quick, bright brain seemed reduced to 25% of its operating power. Loss of memory, processing power, and nervous system regulation.

A recent blood test showed my insulin was higher than it should be, implying insulin resistance.

Regarding Sardines:
I've been following Dr. Boz and her treatment of metabolic syndrome (diabetes, insulin resistance, and mitochondrial health) in her patient population. She also helps patients reach a balance of ketones and a healthy blood glucose ratio for weight loss. She has turned me on to sardine supplementation and fasting.

I have found several solutions and aids, but I'll write about them later. If anyone is interested, let me know, I'll make it a priority to write/talk about it sooner.

I am one of many living examples of how there IS a way to thrive while surviving.

Let us live our best lives and take as many willing people with us as possible.
