Join us on for Q***r Classics on May 29th at 7:30pm at Seattle First Baptist Church or on May 31st at 7:30pm at Cascadia Art Museum in Edmonds for a program highlighting classical and contemporary q***r composers. In a concert for clarinet and four hand piano, a talented trio of musicians present pieces by composers such as Franz Schubert, Francis Poulenc, Samuel Barber, and Eve Beglarian.

We are grateful to Eric Jacobs who is stepping in on clarinet for Laurie DeLuca who regretfully had to attend to a family emergency. Eric will be joined by Joe Williams and Byron Schenkman on piano.

We are pleased to welcome Kaylin Wirkman (they/she), who joins the organization as Marketing Manager. A familiar face to many in our community, Kaylin has been a vital presence at several of our recent events. They will work alongside Isa Pagel, who will now focus their expertise as Operations Director.

On joining the Sound Salon team, Kaylin shares, “Working with Sound Salon is a meaningful opportunity to build relationships within and contribute to an organization that embodies values I believe wholeheartedly in.” Kaylin emphasizes their priorities will champion longevity and Sound Salon’s inclusive platform, stating, “I am passionate about expanding the reach of, and sustaining the thoughtful programming that Sound Salon produces through listening, intentionality, and movement from behind the scenes to engage sincerely with communities.”

Please say hello to Kaylin at our next concert, Q***r Classics, on the upcoming eve of Pride Month. Enjoy a program of music for clarinet, piano, and four hand piano by Samuel Barber, Francis Poulenc, Franz Schubert, Billy Strayhorn, and more. Q***r artists, Laura DeLuca, Byron Schenkman, and Joseph Williams celebrate the legacy of Q***r composers past and present.
