Join us for TWO free community events this week celebrating q***r creativity, storytelling, and connection.

🎤 Pride PowerPoint Party: Q***r Tropes in Literature & Media 
 
Love the “only one bed” trope? Have a niche literary or media hot take you’ve been dying to share? 
 
Bring your best PechaKucha-style presentation (20 slides × 20 seconds each) and take us on a fast-paced, funny, insightful journey through the q***r tropes you love, hate, or simply need us to hear you out on. 
 
💡 Presenting is optional! Come watch, laugh, learn, and celebrate Pride with fellow book lovers, writers, and media enthusiasts! 
 
⏰ Doors: 6 PM | Presentations begin: 6:30 PM

📖 Works in Progress: Pride Edition 
 
What does pride mean to you? 
 
Share poetry, fiction, memoir, essays, comedy, music, plays, or any work-in-progress in our welcoming open mic community, just like our regular Works in Progress except this one has a prompt! Whether you’re reading or simply listening, everyone is invited. 
 
🎙️ Open mic begins at 7 PM 
✍️ Sign-ups start at 6 PM 
⏱️ Readers get 3 minutes each 
 
Works in Progress is a low-pressure, supportive space for writers and creatives of all experience levels. We especially encourage LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, and other marginalized voices to take the mic. 
 
💜 Both events are free to attend. 
🥤 The House bar will be open with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
