What does your rest day ‘food’ look like?

Do you eat less? Do you stay away from ‘bad’ food?

My answer - don’t limit beyond what is your normal daily plan outside of excess saturated fats and added sugars.

The reason: A rest day is built in for muscle recovery - your muscles need the protein for building from those small tears you put into it during training & likely you’ll need to build your (complex carbs) glycogen back up if you’ve been in a calorie deficit. You’ll want that glycogen for tomorrow’s workout 😉

Its more comfortable for me to stay in my routine.

I know what to expect- I’m working towards a goal- the days feel purposeful

It’s easy to forget how wonderful those moments of play are with our family or loved ones - how much joy they bring us - and the types of memories we are gifting ourselves and our family
