SEACUG June Monthly Meeting Agenda:
Please join SEACUG every third Thursday of the Month for discussions of advanced technologies/emerging trends, which covers all topics related to Cisco from Voice, Video, UCS, Security, Routing and Switching to the latest topics on collaboration with other network professionals.
This month's topic is Network Security Baseline. Developing and deploying a security baseline can be challenging due to the vast range of features available. The Network Security Baseline is designed to assist in this endeavor by outlining those key security elements that should be addressed in the first phase of implementing defense-in-depth. The main focus of Network Security Baseline is to secure the network infrastructure itself: the control and management planes.
This presentation will outline the key security elements identified for Network Security Baseline, along with implementation guidelines to assist in their design, integration, and deployment in production networks.
We will review IOS configuration and provide guidance on IOS standardized configuration to help meet the requirements of SOX/PCI/HIPPA, and best practices in general. This is a practical guide to how to configure IOS with security.
Presented by Mack Nethkin
