Matt Talbot Center
We serve people 18+ experiencing addiction, homelessness, and mental health issues. www.mtcseattle.org: Updated website
While winter and Christmas are often difficult for our members as they present emotional and situational triggers for people in recovery, this holiday season we did not have a single
program member experience relapse. We thank God and are proud of our members’ fortitude in continuing on their journey of recovery.
This season has also brought loss to our Matt Talbot family. Long-time friend of the Center Patty Turnberg passed away in January, a loss deeply felt by our staff and members alike. We celebrate her life while mourning her passing and hold her loved ones in our prayers.
In brighter news, Phase I of our Facilities Remodel Project is near completion. We hope to have you join us for a Dedication and Open House this spring.
Know that we are so grateful for the blessing of your prayers, and your encouragement. Know also that your financial support is helping us save lives, reunite families, and restore faith. Please continue to keep us in your prayers and your giving.

Last weekend we had two outings: Recovery Day at the Mariners on 9/15 and a trip to the Puyallup Fair! We are so grateful for the chance for MTC members and staff to bond and relax together. Thank you to everyone who supports our outings fund for making these moments of joy and recovery in community possible!
(Please note that when we don’t have photo consents in place for all members on a given outing, we don’t post the group photos in order to respect their privacy. This was one of those times, so we hope you enjoy seeing a couple of our wonderful staff members instead!)

Help us celebrate Recovery Month this September by making a gift to the Matt Talbot Center. Recovery Month was started as a celebration of the recovery community and to help spread awareness about substance use disorder and mental health issues. This month is a reminder that people can and do recover, mental health matters, and we can work together to make recovery possible in all its forms. Our courageous program members show us what it means to live in recovery and strive for the best for themselves and their community every day. Your donation uplifts MTC members and alums in every phase of recovery and provides them with vital services, wraparound care, and hope. Donate at mtcseattle.org/donate.
