Strong Leaders. Strong Communities.

Oppose Sweeping Changes to Federal Grantmaking 07/10/2026

The federal government has proposed sweeping changes that could impact funding to nonprofits serving our communities. 💥

These new rules allow grant freezes, cuts, or cancellations and permit grants to be awarded based on partisan ideology. This could cause vital programs to lose funding mid-year, creating disruptions and gaps in health services.

We signed on to The National Council of Nonprofits' letter opposing the proposal, and encourage your org to join us! ✊🏼

Voice your opposition by July 13th so nonprofits can continue their work in our communities. 👇🏾

Oppose Sweeping Changes to Federal Grantmaking The National Council of Nonprofits invites local, state, national, and international organizations to sign a letter opposing sweeping proposed changes to federal grantmaking that would harm nonprofits and communities.

We're still on cloud nine from last week's event!

As part of our work in the Delta Vision Project - a group focused on supporting BIPOC capacity building organizations - we supported Communities Rise at their Growing Solidary panel and happy hour! It was beautiful time learning from the panelists and being in community with each other.

Thank you to the wonderful Valeriana Chikoti-Bandua for moderating and the amazing community organizers Rose Harriot-Sitthivong, Tajinique Ruffin, Jonata Lutumba Mbengukanga, and Palmira Figueroa for sharing their wisdom with us.

Shout out to our fellow Delta Vision Project partners, Alphabet Alliance of Color - AAoC, Byrd Barr Place, Communities Rise, Latino Community Fund of Washington State, and the Center for Ethical Leadership.

Be on the lookout for a joint reflection piece soon!
