Snow Leopard Trust has partnered with Indigenous Peoples and local communities across Asia's high mountains for over 40 years. Our conservation work to protect the iconic snow leopard would be impossible without the collective knowledge and experience of the communities that have lived here and cared for the land for countless generations.

We are all stewards of the Earth, and each of us can take actions to protect the lands where we live, on Earth Day and beyond!

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Charu Mishra has been named a National Geographic 33 honoree — a group of extraordinary visionaries rising to meet the most critical challenges of our time. These are bold thinkers and problem solvers from across the globe who believe our world needs imaginative solutions and urgent action, and are leading the charge for change.
