Fresh cherries, peas, and amaranth greens were a hit at the latest Farmer's Market Visit! InterIm CDA staff contacted and led some neighborhood seniors on a trip to the Capitol Hill Farmer's Market to see what local farmers had to offer. Despite the windy weather, there was excitement for the fresh produce! Thanks to the Culturally Nourishing Food program grant that allowed for the purchase of gift certificates that the seniors could use at any of the vendors. 🌻🍒🍑🍊🌞

The CID Tenants Association gathers resident leaders who have dedicated themselves to serving the community through organizing and advocacy to protect the dignity and culture of the neighborhood. Thanks to a partnership with the Woodland Park Zoo, InterIm CDA was able to host over a dozen CID Tenants Association members on what for many of them, was their first time visiting a zoo. Participants learned together, about wildlife and conservation and got to spend quality time together. Great fun was had by all, as we built relationships that strengthen the community and the work we do together, and support overall well-being and connection for all. 🐘🦜🦋🐍
