Back to Square One is such a fun class - one block with so much room for variation within it. You can choose a limited color pallette like the sample or use all the colors. This is one of my favorite blocks - but then I say that about every block I am working on at the moment 😂

Visits to see this summer inspired my handquilting. I have been a fan of Irene Bankhead since I met her at an Eli Leon open air quilt show in the '90's and found so many samples of her quilting in the show. I tried to imitate her free form use of Baptist fan quilting in this quilt. Rather than a hoop, she used stacks of dishes to hold her quilts taut while quilting - I used heavy quilting books 😊

Couldn't resist the call of the Rabbit Hole this morning. After looking at my scraps from a commissioned corduroy tumbler quilt I had to see what a mini tumbler would like like 😆🥰
