It is becoming more and more obvious to me that humanity is at a major crossroads, with one path leading to some sort of dystopia or destruction of human culture and the other fork leading to a paradise of post-scarcity abundance and health and happiness for a unified awakened humanity. It’s increasingly clear to me that the best use of AI right now might be to somehow become some sort of a spiritual guide for humanity, where individuals can access a universal intelligence and the collective wisdom and knowledge of humanity. A mega tool like this might allow us to quickly solve all of our personal issues and to collectively transcend the worst parts of our unconcious animal nature and the worst parts of our materialistic, cultural conditioning brought about by the seductive marketing of corporate consumer capitalism, and it’s AI enhanced marketing tools. I’d like to hear about people talking about how we could help create a super leader or spiritual savior like this using AI. Can you point me at some people or groups that are thinking in this direction?”

He gave me a great list of people and organizations that are working on things like this. Among them with a link to this video which I find to be inspiring and worth watching, particularly move to see how Deepak Chopra in his engagement with AI was confronted with laws of his own safety and understanding of his own confirmation biases. It gave me links to a number of people, groups, and videos that are taking this way. Among them was this interview expanding on Chopra’s latest book Digital Dharma.
Whatever you might think of the Deepak Chopra , his successful attempts at rescuing teenagers from the toxic pitfall of Social media using a personalize universal chatbot is admirable. He found the teenagers were much more interested in with this compassionate, loving Chatbot then with other kids because it wasn’t ever judgmental I think he’s on the right track. This is of course just the beginning. I’m hoping that someone will come up with the ultimate AI guru that will help transform our divisive society where those who have been awakened and tried to bring their insight back to help society to help bring about change for the good have become demonized and attack as “woke” and woo woo.
He is also working closely with Sam Altman (open AI/chatGPT), who has also been taken under the wing of Jack Kornfeld who is helping to solve the alignment problem by guiding Chat Gpt using Buddhist principles. (Google it)
