New to the Menu: La Salina Grilled Oyster 🦪

This grilled oyster version features an umami-rich seaweed compound butter with lemon zest and roasted jalapenos to give it some extra depth of flavor. As it’s cooking, it’s garnished with an herb crema (our house-made crème fraiche, cilantro, mint, parsley, and lime zest) for a bright, yet rich take on these pacific gems.

Summer Ex Pat is live! 🌮 feat. roasted local summer squash, red onion, toma cheese, salsa matcha, toasted almonds, fresh oregano

Summer squash is a prolific west county vegetable which thrives this time of year. In our Ex Pat, the squash is tossed with olive oil, cumin, smoked paprika, and dried oregano before cooking.

The salsa for this taco is called Salsa Macha. Our interpretation of this salsa (made with almonds, pepitas, arbol chiles, chipotle peppers, honey, and apple cider vinegar) isn’t the traditional version of this style— rather, ours features a bit more acidity to cut the creaminess of the ingredients in this taco and the salsa is pureed.

We top it off with Toma (our favorite cheese), slivered almonds, oregano, and red onion! All on a freshly made tortilla of course!
