We’re more than a group—we’re a movement. Empowering women to lead, grow, and shine

It’s been a big year. As an introvert, as someone who feared public speaking, but ALSO as someone incredibly passionate about mental health and foster care outcomes… I have stepped out of my comfort zone a LOT.

I was asked to speak at this event, off the cusp and with nothing prepared. We were expecting to have our first booth, and to network with some great people (which we did, including one of our FIRST INTERVIEWS, Mrs. Renee Mejia).

But then I SPOKE. I found some of the first talking points i wanted to focus on while building Project ACE, and started really honing in on my message.

I can’t believe it’s only been a year. The momentum is continuing to grow. We just hit 500 followers on Facebook, as our programs and reach are continuing to expand.

As the founder of Project ACE, I am also growing. I am breaking my down barriers made by my own fears. It’s an honor to watch the people I love around me grow too. I am so proud.

Thank you to everyone who is along for this ride. Thank you to Women In Action and Mrs. Amelia for the amazing outreach opportunities they’ve provided. Thank you to Ms. Linda at Highlands County Habitat for Humanity, another speaker that evening- for connecting us in the first place so I could even be in that room.

Proof that women (and people in general) building other women (people) up WORKS. I’ve spoken at multiple events in the past year, and each has been a learning experience I am beyond grateful for.

It all started here though, it was proof that this former foster kid CAN leave an impact with my words 💚🖤 11/09/2025

This is one of the stories shared by someone we were blessed to help — just one of the many ways WIA continues to impact lives in our community. 💜

Even though we’ve been quiet for a little while, this story reminded us exactly why we do what we do.

Just know — WIA isn’t going anywhere. We’ve been faithfully working behind the scenes, and God is truly moving. 🙌

We can’t wait to share everything He’s been doing in His perfect timing. ✨

Feliz Cinco de Mayo from Women In Action!
Today we celebrate culture, courage, and comunidad!

As a proud Mexican-American woman who came to the U.S. at the age of 3, I carry both my roots and my journey in my heart.
My heritage taught me strength and resilience, and this country gave me the space to grow, lead, and create impact.

Let’s keep showing up, supporting each other, and growing together—con corazón y propósito.

Here’s to strong mujeres, powerful unity, and the beauty of honoring where we come from and where we’re going.

Tag a fierce Latina you admire or drop a flag to rep your roots!
