Highlands County’s Housing division can provide down payment assistance if you qualify.

Funds help with down payment and closing costs to households to purchase a newly constructed or existing home with a purchase price of $250,000 or less. Homes with a purchase price over $250,000 do not qualify.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
• First time homebuyers only (not have ownership interest in the past three years).
• Applicants must have a pre-qualification letter from the mortgage lender.
• Applicants must complete a homebuyer education course.
