ROCK & ROLL HEAD FIRST: We're a band. We're not too bad, especially considering we rarely get to play together (and that was pre-Covid). Seriously!

The demand for more Keith Ripley on the dance floor was too heavy to ignore. Fun fact…Keith was featured in the band’s video version of this song delivering a classic performance.

If you'd forgotten about us, we wouldn't blame you. For a variety of reasons, we haven't been able to do much musically, at least not together, in a while. But when Admiral MQ suggested that we take on The Beatles' classic Come Together as a way to ring in the New Year (following the contentious last one), we leapt into action. Well, at least as quickly as our 60-plus YO asses can leap. This song kicked off the Beatles Abbey Road album, the last one recorded by the band. While there may not be consensus on the meaning of the rather strange John Lennon lyrics, there is consensus that Come Together was a truly great track. Lennon himself considered it one of his favorites and the band's legendary producer, George Martin, felt it showed off the "four disparate talents of the boys and the ways they combined to make a great sound," better than any other song. One particular stellar part of the song is the great drum riff created by Ringo Starr and played perfectly by Joseph DePasquale. A big thanks to Mike's son, Bryce, for joining in on the rhythm guitar. Always a treat to have BQuiz provide his talents to a Fez production. So with that, John, Mike, Michael and David wish you all a wonderful 2025 with hopes that we can somehow find a way to Come Together.
