Residents gathered for an evening of music, community, and celebration at the annual Jazz Night sponsored by the Mayor and Town Council this month. Among the highlights of the event was the outstanding volunteer work provided by SAIL students, who helped make the evening a success.
Throughout the event, SAIL students warmly welcomed guests and served food and refreshments to attendees. Their teamwork, professionalism, and positive attitudes added to the festive atmosphere as community members enjoyed live jazz performances throughout the night.

Guests praised the students for their dedication and helpfulness, noting that their efforts contributed greatly to the smooth running of the event. The evening not only showcased talented jazz musicians but also highlighted the importance of community service and student involvement.

We would like to remind all students and families that final exams will begin on June 9. Final exams account for 5% of each student’s final course grade, making them an important component of overall academic performance. We strongly encourage students to begin preparing early, review course materials, and reach out to their teachers with any questions or if additional support is needed.

Final Exam Schedule:

June 9 – Periods 1 and 9
June 10 – Periods 2 and 8
June 11 – Periods 3 and 7
June 12 – Periods 4, 5, and 6

Final exam days are one session school days for students. Please be sure to review the schedule carefully and arrive on time each day, prepared with all necessary materials. Maintaining strong attendance and punctuality during exam week is essential.

Our Cultural Diversity Club, Italian 4 Honors class, and members of the National Foreign Language Honor Society recently traveled to Eataly for an immersive experience in Italian culture. Students enjoyed a guided tour of the marketplace, explored a variety of staple Italian foods and groceries, sampled authentic cuisine, and even had the opportunity to practice their Italian language skills with the owners and tour guides. It was a memorable and educational experience for all involved. A special thank you to Ms. DeGennaro and Ms. Beltran for organizing such an informative and engaging trip!
