Bees and breads. It’s a good time to have a good time. We’ve worked hard most of our lives so we can do what we wanted to and what we love. Together. Even when jobs were less than ideal, we worked. Even when stress was high, we worked. We worked towards a dream we hadn’t yet fully pictured. And you know what, you can’t fully picture it because so much of life is beyond your control. BUT, we stay open minded and we kept at it. Kept moving and doing. Kept praying.

And now in our older years, we get to start enjoying the fruits of all the years of laboring and saving. We are really happy to do this as a family. Super thankful.

This morning Mark Gretchen pulled the honey supers off the second hive and we enjoyed extracting it together. And I got two loaves baked. One for us and one to share with Dad and another friend.

Just us extracting honey together and enjoying each other and the process. A peaceful, yummy process albeit slightly hot and slightly sticky. 😬🐝

Oh how wonderful to work quietly with such lovelies. We are on break from the shop, but not on break from doing the joyful things in our life. 💝🐝
