Post Oak Community Cemetery

Please plan on attending the Post Oak Cemetery annual meeting on Sunday July 28, 2019 at 3:00PM at the GVEC Meeting Room at 13849 US Hwy 87 W in La Vernia. Everyone who has a connection to the cemetery is encouraged to attend.

We got the updated newsletter this past week. If you didn't get one, please let me know and if you aren't on the cemetery mailing list, please let us know so we can make sure we are in direct contact with you. If you would like to get them via digital communication that is possible too.

If any of you were at the last Post Oak Cemetery annual meeting, please post any news items that were discussed at the meeting for all of us to read. From what I gather, the following was discussed:
1) The secretary resigned and we are looking for someone to accept that position.
2) The new cost for a single plot is $500.
3) The Deicke Cemetery (just down the road) has a new sign (after the hail storm completely destroyed the old one) thanks to Ruby Kolenda and the Clarence and Rosie Deicke Schievelbein children.
4) The date for next year's meeting is: ????

Floyd Poenitz suggested that in order to reach more folks, the annual newsletter should be sent out via email, in addition to the paper copy. Of if any of those receiving the newsletter via postal mail want to switch to email to save the cemetery association the postage money, please let Floyd ( floyd @ poenitz. org ) know your email address and he is happy to create an email mailing for those individuals who want to receive the newsletter and other announcements electronically.
