Lola🩷 is safe from coming back to Oklahoma🙌🏻

The Petersens once again stepped up to help👏🏻 Because I didn't know why she was reacting to one individual the way she did, I needed her to go to an experienced foster to see if she continued to act strange.

So far so good🫶🏻
"I collected her from a crate to put in my crate - no issue. Took treats in crate fine . No growling or aggression towards me. My adult daughters came said hi, lots of tail wagging. Just some growling at the overly pushy/nosy house pups."

BUT... the Petersens have a full house of dogs and one dog so this is just for 2 weeks.

Lola will need a long term foster if things keep going well. And I already have someone that might be able to do it👊🏻

But the BEST thing for her would be for someone to her👣🐾 so she doesn't have to go through so much change.

Do you remember Sariel? The boy who was found dumped next to a highway staying with his sister who had been hit and k*lled by a car? He's loving life in the now.

4th of July🎆 is only a few weeks away. Whether you enjoy fireworks or not, they will happen. You can complain about them and wish they wouldn't happen, but in the end as a dog owner, you have to ensure that your dog is safe if they are afraid of fireworks.
This is what I used to do with my rainbow boy Bandit. In the bathtub, with music playing, several fans blowing and a treat to chew on. He was so terrified of fireworks, which was ironic because he spent his puppyhood on a military base with the house right next to the training grounds. The entire house would shake from tank rounds going off and Blackhawks flying so low you could almost high-five the crew.
There are also boarding places like Petsmart that have sound proof kennels. Get meds, get sturdy crates, etc. And most importantly, if your pet is terrified of fireworks... stay home with them.
Prepare now. And update those microchips if you haven't.
