Exterior window cleaning.... this is one of my all time favorites and has saved me tons of time!!

The words "I don't do windows" will be a thing of the past with this exterior window washing tip. All you need is a water hose and some dishwasher detergent. NOT dishwashing liquid but the detergent used in your dishwasher. Preferably liquid but the powder will work. Simply hose down your exterior windows, using a brush or even a sponge mop apply the dishwasher detergent to the windows making sure to scrub the dirt and grime built up on windows. Apply to all windows before rinsing. Once applied to all windows go back to first window and begin to rinse making sure all detergent is completely rinsed. Once you have rinsed all windows walk away - no need to wipe or dry.

Lamp Shades....I find the best way to clean them is with the soft brush on my vacuum. Every time I vacuum the rugs I vacuum the shades. Sometimes I don't want to get out the vacuum so here is a great trick. Keep your fabric lamp shades dust free by using an adhesive lint brush. Simply hold the shade in place and roll the lint brush on the exterior of the shade.
