The Gatlinburg-Pittman Highlanders soccer team fell 2-1 to Independence Academy in today’s TSSAA Class 1A State Championship game, finishing as state runner-up. It was a great season for first-year coach Jason Owens and his Highlanders in what many outside the program thought would be a down year.

Today’s Class 1A State Championship soccer match between Gatlinburg-Pittman High School and Independence Academy is set to kickoff at 1:30 cst. They will play inside the “stadium” at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex. Good luck Highlanders!

The Pigeon Forge Tigers' season ended at the hands of Smith County last night, 6-5. The Tigers fought hard and tied it up in the top of the 7th, but the Owls walked it off on a bases-loaded single.

David Price led the Tigers, going 2-3 with a triple and a pair of RBI's. Brody Watson also had a home run in the 3rd inning.

A great season for the Tigers, finishing 32-7, including regular season district, district tournament, region tournament, & sectional tournament championships, as well as their first state tournament appearance since 2022.

Gatlinburg-Pittman High School Soccer defeats Madison Magnet 1-0 and advances to the TSSAA Class 1A State Title game on Friday afternoon. They will face the Independence Academy Lions at 1:30 cst. The game will be held at “The Stadium” inside the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex. Good luck to Coach Owens and the Highlanders.

With only 1:37 remaining in regulation time, the Gatlinburg Pittman / Madison Magnet match heads to a lightning delay. The Highlanders lead 1-0 on the Jahime Beaton goal.

The Gatlinburg-Pittman High School soccer team holds a 1-0 advantage over Madison Magnet at the half. Highlanders have out shot the Mustangs 11-1 overall and shots on goal 5-0.

Pigeon Forge falls to Milan this afternoon 4-1. They will now take on Smith County this evening at 8:30 cst, but the radar doesn’t look favorable. They will need to win to advance to tomorrow.
