A common question I get at the salon, 'Can I use Micellar Water to clean my lashes?'π€·ββοΈ
I took time to research this and here is what I found.π§
Yes, you can use oil-free micellar water to clean lash extensions. Itβs a gentle and effective way to remove dirt, makeup, and oil without damaging the adhesive.
Here are some tips to ensure proper cleaning:
1. Choose the right micellar water: Make sure it is oil-free, as oil-based products can weaken the glue and cause the extensions to fall off prematurely.
2. Use a clean brush or applicator: Apply the micellar water to a clean, soft spoolie or a lint-free applicator brush. Avoid cotton pads, as fibers can get caught in the lashes.
3. Gently clean the lash line: Swipe along the lash line and extensions without tugging. Focus on removing any buildup.
4. Rinse with water: After cleaning, rinse the lashes gently with lukewarm water to remove any residue.
5. Dry with care: Pat your lashes dry with a clean, lint-free towel and let them air dry or use a lash fan. Avoid rubbing them.
Consistently cleaning your lash extensions helps maintain their appearance and prolong their lifespan.
