I originally made this video to show our technicians that were working on this job. I didn’t want them to seal this area due to the roof having very loose granular on the shingles and the fact that it was right at the edge of the roof. After watching it, I thought it might bring some value to anyone that is interested in it. This shows how many spots can let Bats and Mice in, in a very small area of the roof.

Yuck Factor Elevated! This brown staining on the carpet was caused by rodents traversing under this door way over a long period of time. Slang terminology is “rodent grease” actual terminology is sebum. Rodent Grease tends to accumulate around smaller spaces/openings as they have to lower their bodies closer to the ground to get through. You will also see it on bumpy “more irregular” surfaces.
