TASN - Autism and Tertiary Behavior Supports

It was a fantastic week of learning at the second annual Tri-County 607 Interlocal Structured Teaching Summer Institute in Independence!

Special educators from Independence, Coffeyville, Cherryvale, Caney, Parsons, Fredonia, and Neodesha attended this three day training led by instructional coach, Jillian Brock. Participants learned about the elements of the Structured Teaching framework, then observed evidence-based practices in the demonstration classrooms complete with master teachers, paraprofessionals, and students.

A big thank you to the administrators who make this training a priority for teachers of students who have autism and/or complex learning needs, the teachers who take time out of their summers to learn and strengthen their skills, and to everyone else who made this training possible- master teachers, paraprofessionals, transportation staff, tech staff, kitchen staff, custodial staff, families, and students! We appreciate all of you!!
