Erin Bryant, a Social Studies teacher at Crest High School, has been named the Outstanding Holocaust Educator of the Year by the Center for Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Education of North Carolina.

Through her teaching, Ms. Bryant helps students build empathy, think critically about history, and become upstanders who stand against bullying and hate. Her work goes beyond the classroom and empowers students to turn meaningful lessons into real world action.

She will be honored at an awards program on May 3, 2026 in Chapel Hill.
