Presnell Red Angus

Last week was a busy one for us! We hauled 6 head of sale heifers down to South Carolina for the 6th Annual Hereford & Red Angus Sale. It’s always rewarding to showcase the genetics we’ve been working hard to build and to be part of a strong set of cattle in a great program.

Back at the farm, there wasn’t much time to slow down. We got all of our ET recipient cows synchronized and ready to receive embryos later this week, and we also went ahead and bred our donor cows. It was one of those weeks where everything seems to happen at once—long days, a lot of moving pieces, but a lot of progress being made toward the future of our herd.

We’re really excited about the matings we’ve put together and what we’ll be looking at about 9 months from now. Each one represents another step forward in building a program focused on functional, consistent cattle that perform in and out of the pasture.

In the next few weeks, we’ll also be weaning more calves, and we will have a few select heifers and bulls available private treaty. Feel free to reach out if you’re interested or would like to see what we have coming along.
