This weekend GCSAR attended and participated in the Arkansas Search and Rescue conference in Russellville Ar. The first 10 pics are of this mornings Field Exercise simulating 3 injured victims at undetermined locations. A Management Team, Multiple Field Teams, and a Drone Team all worked together to locate, medically assess, treat, and extricate patients. GCSAR was tasked with flying our Drones using assigned locations on CalTopo maps with our EagleEyes Software. The EagleEyes software, as you see below, has the ability to detect motion, color, and other anomalies from the air. We were even able to fly above and not only view the rescue and extrication of one victim, but actually livestream it as well.
The last 2 pics are of a Professional Tracker named Fernando from Nevada. In less than 30 minutes, just from a footprint he showed us how to determine someones shoe size, approximate Height, Weight, Gender, and whether they are Right handed or Left handed. A very impressive instructor who we will be pursuing in the future for further training.
Everyone please exercise caution throughout the night when driving thru the intersection of Highway 35 and Sheridan Bypass. There are crews still working on an accident scene from earlier today.
