Sheridan WYO Rodeo and World Championship Indian Relay Royalty Competition Application Deadline June 15

Community invited to attend competition

Sheridan, WY (June 11, 2026) – The Sheridan WYO Rodeo and World Championship Indian Relay is looking for the next generation of cowgirls! Girls ages 7 to 24 are invited to compete in the WYO Rodeo Royalty Competition happening June 24th and 25th. Contestants will have the chance to represent rodeo, western heritage, and the Sheridan community.

Applications are available now at wyorodeoroyalty.com — but don’t wait, the application deadline is June 15th. Saddle up and apply today for the WYO Rodeo Royalty Competition! The competition is open to the public. So come on out and watch Horsemanship, Wednesday, June 24th at 5:30pm at the Sheridan College AgriPark.

The stage portion of the competition will begin on Thursday, June 25th at the WYO Theater will at 5:30pm with a Queen’s social at 7:00pm and the crowning of the new WYO Rodeo Royalty at 8:00pm. All past rodeo royalty are invited to attend the Queen’s social.
Sheridan WYO Rodeo week will take place July 6th – 12th, with four rodeo performances July 8th - 11th, starting at 7:00pm nightly with the World Championship Indian Relay Races.

Sheridan WYO Rodeo Commemorative Poster Now Available!

The Sheridan WYO Rodeo and World Championship Indian Relay has released the commemorative 2026 poster for its 96th anniversary including celebrating the semiquincentennial birthday of the United States. The poster incorporates the ever-popular World Champion Indian Relay; champion saddle bronc, The Black Tie; and Women’s Barrel Racing. The retro design was created by Jenae Neeson of Mybonnie Studios.

Posters are now available locally in Sheridan at the Chamber of Commerce and King’s Saddlery as well as online sheridanwyorodeo.com (click shop merch). Posters sell for $30.00 each and can be shipped nationwide.
