If possible, use Windows Update on supported systems and upgrade with all apps and data to Windows 11.

If you do not have a mother board that supports TPM 2.0 or CPU's that meet the criteria, you CANNOT perform an upgrade keeping your data and apps as is by either using Windows Update or Windows 11 software. The software performs a clean install.

can see your processor, and the thousandth place of the model gives you the generation of Intel processors. Not sure about AMD processors. Anyways the current Intel Generation is 14.

You will have a much faster computer.

Windows 11 requirement that is causing problems:
Your computer motherboard must support TPM 2.0
TPM=Trusted Platform Module
TPM authenticates your systems hardware by storing encrypted keys on the motherboard. It performs storage of encrypted information that authenticates the hardware to the user. For instance: it stores machine hardware information for product licensing, and it may store user authenticating information like a user's fingerprint, which was input from fingerprint reader on some laptops.
