June 1, Exodus 14
In Exodus 14:13-14 (NIV), before the Lord parts the Red Sea, Moses tells the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Will you take these words to heart today? Rather than worrying and attempting to fix the problems in your life, will you stand firm, be still, and watch the Lord fight for you and bring about your deliverance? May the Lord part the “Red Sea” of your life!

May 28, Exodus 10
What is forgiveness? In Exodus 10:16-17 we read how Pharaoh confesses his sin and asks for forgiveness. After this, Moses prays on Pharaoh’s behalf, and God removes the locusts. When Pharaoh sees this, he once again refuses to allow God’s people to go. We see this pattern in Pharaoh. He is not really sorry for his sin, but he is just sorry about the consequences he is facing because of his sin. This is not true repentance and forgiveness. Repentance requires us to confess our sin, but we must genuinely be sorry for our sin and seek to turn from our sin to be forgiven. This is common today. Many people do not feel bad about their sin. They just feel bad when they get caught in their sin. At the end of the day, we cannot truly be forgiven unless we first truly repent. We cannot expect God to forgive us if we are not actually asking Him to forgive us in the first place.
