Kate was born and within hours was rushed to the NICU, where her family spent over six weeks filled with uncertainty. After connecting with Stanford Children's Pediatric Cardiology, they learned Kate carried the TBX4 gene deletion — meaning her pulmonary hypertension would not simply resolve over time. Faced with more questions than answers, her family became advocates. That advocacy helped fuel TBX4Life, which has since connected over 70 medical professionals worldwide who actively collaborate on TBX4-related research.
