If you’re living with EDS, POTS, and MCAS, you’ve likely heard them called the “Terrible Three.” It can feel overwhelming, but understanding why they overlap is the first step toward reclaiming your health.

In clinical practice, we call this the “Triad.” They aren’t three separate, isolated problems—they are deeply interconnected systems:

1️⃣ EDS (Hypermobility): Your connective tissue is the “scaffolding” of your body. When your system is hypermobile, it can impact tissues around your joints, blood vessels, organs, and skin.

2️⃣ POTS (Autonomic Dysfunction): Because your connective tissue is impacts all the tissues in your body, your autonomic nervous system often gets disregulated more easily, leading to heart rate spikes, blood pressure regulation issues, brain fog, and fatigue.

3️⃣ MCAS (Immune Activation): Chronic instability and nervous system strain can trigger an immune response. Mast cells, part of your immune system, can become hyper-reactive, leading to inflammation, food sensitivities, and reactions that seem to come from nowhere.

The “Luminous” Take:

When these three interact, your body’s “stress bucket” fills up very quickly. That’s why we don’t just focus on “fixing” one joint or “managing” one symptom.

We look at the whole picture:
Calming the System: We prioritize nervous system safety before loading the body.
Data Collection: We teach you to identify your own signals (like the “Too Much” vs. “Just Enough” zone).
Stability First: We build coordination, proposition, and strength that supports your specific structure, not generic fitness.

If you’re struggling with this Triad, please hear this: Your symptoms are real. The pain is complicated, but you are not broken. You are just complex.

We are your team. You don’t have to manage this alone. 🤍
