It's that dreaded time of year again. Don’t delay - it's time to get prepared so you can help your animals get through the terror and confusion. Just start checking these things off each day and you’ll be in a good place next weekend.

Check List:

*Microchip is registered and up-to-date. Seriously, this saves so much stress and heartache.

*Fence line is secure and holes repaired. Gate latches are repaired and working.

*DO NOT GIVE Acepromazine!

*Start collecting cardboard delivery boxes to make fun games

*Stuffed Kongs prepared and frozen for the big day

*Get frozen raw bones or other favorite chewys.

*Crank the fans to blur noises and allows you to keep windows closed.

*OTC Calming Treats such as Zesty Paws, Happy Traveler or Rescue Remedy might help.

*Don’t make firework/BBQ plans with your dog. Just stay home and help your best friend through a very troubling time. Leave them with a very trusted friend, never alone.
