Our new album is out now on Spotify and YouTube, and rolling out to other platforms in short order!

Hit play, and Pet Names is there in the room with you. In a music landscape increasingly dominated by digital instruments, autotune, and AI, we’re stripping everything back to our roots: two voices, a guitar, and a bass.

In the Flesh was recorded live at home—DIY, raw, and vulnerable. Six mics in a wood-paneled ex-office captured the performances. It’s the sound you’ll hear if you see a Pet Names show at a bar, a festival, or in your neighbor’s living room.

The songwriting is as brutally honest as the recordings. We can’t help but write about the political attacks we see targeting our communities and friends every day. 6 brand-new tracks open the album and comment on different angles of our country’s escalating tumult—calls to action, sarcastic satire, pensive lamentations, and the importance of caring for each other.

The final 5 tracks will be familiar to you. We re-recorded the songs from our debut EP (Hey Hi Hello, 2025) to highlight the rich essence at the core of the full-band tracks.

In the Flesh is a full-body experience that will only be topped by a live show - we have plenty coming up this summer!

Frederick Pride is proud to present: PET NAMES to the Frederick Pride Festival!

Pet Names is a Maryland-based duo playing folk, rock, and beyond.
Partners in both music and in life, Camila (guitar) and Maggie (bass) co-write all of their original music. Their sound is rooted in rich vocal harmonies and lively instrumentals, with lyrics that range from thoughtful to tongue-in-cheek. They draw inspiration across decades and genres—Washington City Paper wrote that their debut EP, Hey Hi Hello, “effortlessly pair[s] early aughts indie sensibilities with classic rock.”

Don't miss Pet Names at Frederick Pride on Saturday, June 27th!
