Shuga x Ice

two years ago, we opened our doors for the first time. a small African-inspired ice cream shop in Silver Spring with a big mouth and even bigger dreams. we’ve been through it since then. lost the shop. found a new kitchen. built wings. but May 17th will always be the day this became real 🥹.

so we’re celebrating the only way we know how: with ice cream!!

Yesterday, we learned that Solaire Social, the food hall that’s been home to Shuga x Ice, will permanently close this Friday, October 24th.

After 7 years of dreaming and 1.5 years of pouring my heart into this space, I’m heartbroken… but not hopeless.

This isn’t the end - just a shift. We’re looking for a new home, new opportunities, and the same community that’s loved us since day one. If you’ve ever loved what we’ve built, please share, tag, and keep believing with us.
