Public outrage and widespread uprisings are going on in the Amhara region of Ethiopia. The Amhara people have had enough of Abiy Ahmed's government and the Prosperity Party.

The current decision by the Federal government to disarm the Amhara special forces and the Fano freedom fighters have become the breaking point. The Oromo-dominated Federal government led by Prime Minister Abiy has become a source of instability and mayhem in the country. Since the Oromuma group has come to power in just five years millions have died, millions have been displaced, and active genocide against the Amhara people is taking place in the Oromia region of Ethiopia.

The Oromo leaders such as Shimelis Abidisa ( the president of the Oromia region) and Adanach Abebe ( the Mayor of Addis Ababa) have been very aggressive in their ethnic-inflamed rhetoric and persecutions of non-Oromos, especially the Amharas.

Amhara homes in the capital are being demolished by the government and roads to the capital from the Amhara region have been repeatedly blocked by the Oromos creating a sense of resentment and isolation within the Amhara public. Affecting trade, and public transportation. Many people have died on routes due to being blocked from reaching Addis Ababa for life-saving treatments.

The unceasing attacks and meddling of the Oromuma government in the Ethiopian Tewahdo Orthodox Church and the Muslim majlis have been very frustrating for millions of believers. Public opinion has turned against the government because of its cruelty and corruption.

The hallmark of the Oromuma government has become unquenched greed and corruption. The Everything is Mine "kegnasim" ideology is tearing Ethiopia apart and creating millions of Internally Displaced People (IDPs) in its wake.

A total of 34 cities including Woldeya, Gonder, Debre Markos, Bure, Metema, and more are showing their solidarity with the Amhara Special Forces and Fano Freedom Fighters. Traditional and cultural values have a great influence on the Amhara people. The word Amhara means free people. Hence, the Amharas are freedom-loving people and they see their weapons as a means of protecting their land, faiths, and families. It is a matter of honor to ask an Amharan to disarm his weapons. This very reason could be a reason to start a war.

The Amhara people led by incompetent leaders have been oppressed and persecuted for half a century. The relentless pursuit of the Oromo policies has finally awakened the sleeping Lion. The Amhara resistance is creating momentum and growing daily. This has created panic within the government. The Amhara public has blocked major roads and is expressing its anger in protests.

We ask all Amharas and friends of Amharas to stand with us.

Amhara will prevail!!!
