The Fight Director Training Workshop is back in March 2026! Held at the Silver Spring Black Box, the FDTW is an amazing opportunity for early-mid career fight directors to hone their craft through a combination of master classes and dedicated choreography time, as well as build up your network with a cohort of colleagues. Coordinators and Lead Instructors Jon Rubin and Tonya Lynn, Assistant Coordinator Mason Tyer, and Guest Lead Instructor for 2026's FDTW Eli Lynn, will take you through 5 days of building up your skills and giving you tools for your choreographic toolbelt, in a focused choreographic lab environment.

The Fight Director Training Workshop returns this spring to the Silver Spring Black Box just north of Washington, DC!

The Fight Director Training Workshop (March 5-9, 2026) is a 5-day intensive focusing exclusively on diving into the art and craft of the fight director. Led by experienced and working fight directors, the workshop features special topics classes focused on expanding your choreographic toolkit and developing your own working process and style. Interspersed with these classes are choreographic lab sessions where you can put class topics into immediate use alongside your fellow workshop participants.

Participant applications are open through 11:59 pm EST on January 1, 2026.
