Volunteers, staff, and survivors placed 60,000 white flags, each representing 2 lives lost this year. Anyone with lungs can get lung cancer.

These days my morning breakfast begins with watching three little foxes playing tag during the early morning in Montgomery County Colesville, MD. Wildlife in residential areas are abundant, both big and small. The small you don't see often, but they are near, and the big I see every day sleeping, eating, playing, or just passing through. Foxes, groundhogs, deer, squirrel, chipmunks, rabbits, birds, and snakes.

Early detection matters! Colorectal cancer screening was just one of the cancer screening topics presented at the Spring into Screening Lunch and Learn event at the Community of Hope in Washington DC last month by the LUNGevity Foundation. Attendees came to learn the facts about lung, breast, colorectal, and prostate screenings and hear from community experts while enjoying a free lunch and giveaways!
