🏛️ Jay Hunt (Man 2 - Junie Track)
Jay Hunt is one of the dopest artists you'll ever meet and is proud to make his Silver Spring Stage debut. He is a theatre-maker and a multi-disciplinary artist, focusing on acting and playwriting. Most recently, he worked with the Port To***co Players (WATCH Award Winner). Jay trained at the College of Southern Maryland and maintains working relationships with several academic institutions including Howard University, Bowie St. University, and American University. He would like to thank his wife Ashley, and his daughter, Alyssa, for their constant support.

CALL FOR DIRECTORS
FOR THE 2026 ONE ACT FESTIVAL

Have you ever thought to yourself: “What I really want to do is direct…”?
Now you can!
Silver Spring Stage is seeking directors for its 2026 One-Act Festival. We need directors for approximately 10-12 one-act plays performing August 14-23, 2026, with a different line-up of plays each weekend.

Please complete the online application form (link below) and submit a theatre resume and the contact info of TWO references who can speak to your work to: [email protected]. Submissions must be received by Sunday, June 7.

Important dates:
* Performances are August 14-23, Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday matinee. Each weekend has a different slate of plays.
* Auditions will be Tuesday-Wednesday July 7-8 from 6-10pm. If you cannot attend audtions in person, you can select a stand-in to be your representative.
* Tech for Week 1 is Saturday, August 8. Tech for Week 2 is Saturday, August 15.
* Note that the audition and tech dates above are MANDATORY for directors.
