Today we honor the men, women and children lost 17 years ago. We thank and honor our servicemembers, first responders and brave citizens who put their lives at risk for others on 9/11. As we move forward to a brighter tomorrow, we must hold space for each other today and always. As we had united in the aftermath of that attack and worked together for a common good, we must realize that we all have much more in common than apart. Let no one divide us as a nation. This beautiful country is made amazing because of all its people. The most honorable tribute we can pay to all the lives lost on that tragic day is to live each day to ensure that love prevails and hatred has no room to grow. Set aside our differences and truly become UNITED.
