Turn by Turn Logistics

I thought holiday traffic was supposed to be light. One traffic incident around the entire Beltway and of course it’s right along my route.😖 Evidently a cargo van lost a shoving contest with a tractor trailer. Lesson learned. He should’ve just asked me first.

The cost of doing business. 1st pic was broken down on the side of the road. Jogged 2 miles to rent a Uhaul ti get my deliveries done and grab a new hub. Fixed it, returned rental and kept it moving. 2nd pic was changing the other hub(preventative maintenance. Rolling with the punches. The wheels just keep on turning.

Oh helllllllll naaah!!!! Been across that bridge many times and never seen this! Yeah I’m either staying in NY or I’m taking the long, long way home!

So this is how my day began. Got gas and couldn’t pull off. Plastic clip holding shift cable to linkage on the trans broke. Quick diagnosis and ride to dealership. Fixed within an hour. Soooo glad I was an automotive technician in a former life. No tow bill and no labor charge. Back on the hwy✌🏾

Many of my friends/associates have inquired about the trucking industry and starting their own business. It can be done, but not without hard work and perseverance. Luckily for me, I was a mechanic in another life and that has helped immensely as far as cutting costs to increase my bottom line. If you aren’t willing to get your hands dirty, you will be taking massive cuts out of your overall profits.
